She is currently a living in New York City. Chando was a student at Manhattan College prior to becoming an actor. Chando played Maddie Coleman, the lead character in As the World turns from 2005 through 2007, and then returned to this role for a duration of time that began in late 2009. Alexandra's acting debut was in the TV program House Blend on the show House Blend, in which she appeared as Jenna Harper. In the following three seasons, she starred in the American soap opera for television that was telecast at CBS, As the World Turns as Maddie Coleman. In 2009 Chando got a role in the American documentary TV show True life and further appeared in the TV series, Sherri. Chando starred in two episodes on the American television show drama-comedy Glory Daze. Other TV show credits are Castle, Hindsight, Dead People and Outcast.
